Want to draw your own maps? All the precinct data long with population has been loaded into Districtr.
Just want to play with the data? Well everything except the precinct lines is here in Google Sheets. The Google sheet has data for counties, precincts, and tracts. You can also download the same as an Excel file or for super data nerds here's the block data (multiple blocks = 1 tract, multiple tracts = 1 precicnt, multiple precincts = 1 county. Precincts must be broken up when they reach 5,000 registered voters, they may be broken up to suit the needs of map makers.
Need to know the rules for redrawing lines? They're all right here on the state redistricting website.
Want to see the maps that the legislators have submitted? They'll be available as soon as Monday, September 20 when the third special session begins at the map viewer website.
Coverage from the Texas Tribune.
Dave Wasserman drew this map when he thought Texas would gain three seats instead of two. Stephen Wolf drew these maps to show what non-gerrymandered maps could look like.
*Legally the Texas Constitution prohbits the redistricting of the state legislature outside of a regular session. Gov. Abbott asked for the lege to be redistricted anyway.
